It has been extremely difficult for first-time buyers to get into the homebuying market in Australia due to the boom in housing. Even with all the incentives that are available to property novices, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne have all surpassed $1 million in median house prices. Even with these incentives it might not seem sufficient to secure your home.

If you’re looking to get a key in the door of a new home for the first time, there are still many suburbs well below the $1 million figure across Australia.

What are the best places to buy property in Australia?

CoreLogic provides exclusive data to Your Mortgage. It shows a list with the lowest median property prices in each town. These areas are often located in remote locations, which means they are often overlooked by most homebuyers. These locations could become more popular as remote working becomes more common. This gives employees more freedom to choose where they would like to live without having to consider the distance to their workplace.

CoreLogic identified the 10 best places to buy property at the lowest price.
